in rainbows is my #3. i think it does a great job of setting a mood throughout. never really got into kid a, amnesiac or hail to the thief as full albums1/23/2014 2:52:39 PM |

OP must not be a fan of Autechre then (duo that inspired Radiohead's Kid A sound). 1/23/2014 2:56:44 PM |

not only is Kid A one of the most important albums of the past 25 years, it's also one of the best
In Rainbows is pretty fucking important as well, but Kid A is damn near perfect

I like Kid A... but it took a while for me to get it.
And I suck because I like OK Computer the most of all their albums. 1/23/2014 8:46:04 PM |

There is too much music that I "get" right off the bat for me to worry about listening to something many times before I finally like it.
There is plenty of "important" music, movies, and books that I don't really care for. I'm sure Kid A inspired plenty of great music that I love, but I still don't feel like I have to love Kid A.1/23/2014 9:23:12 PM |

I understand what you mean (because one problem I have today is almost too many options for movies, books, music, etc.) but at the same time a lot of my favorite records of all times were "growers" so I make it a point to come back to certain albums and give them additional chances. Some of them never click, but a surprising number of them have ended up being favorites.
