That was essentially my point when I had this discussion with a lady-friend the other day. In brief:

Me: I laid out pretty early on that we would never work out and I didn't want to lead her on.
Her: But you slept with her?
Me: Yeah, she was pretty insistent even after the talk.
Her: Actions speak louder than words.
Me: Well I guess I fucked up in assuming that the words coming out of my mouth would impart a meaning that would impact her future interpretation of said actions.
