Even worse is I-90, runs 300 miles right along lake Erie from Buffalo through Erie, PA to Cleveland to Toledo. Sits right in the snow belt. That shit gets scary to drive through.

As someone who lived in that exact area for the past 3 years and drove the turnpike everyday around the same time as that accident, I can attest that the sun glare can be really bad if conditions are ripe for it. Plus if people hit the glare and aren't paying attention it can spell trouble, mix in more unfavorable conditions like ice and bam! you have a huge pile up. Doesn't matter where you're from, accidents happen.
