i actually loved the bowe bergdahl serial. I thought it was a fascinating look in to the case and the mentality of bowe when he chose to desert and the difficulty of dealing with the desertion after his 5 years in captivity. people who expect serial to always uncover some flawed murder investigation are looking for the wrong thing from the podcast

the "Keepin it 1600" political podcast on the Bill Simmons Podcast Network is young (4 or 5 eps) but really good. The last one had Kal Penn on discussing his work as a Bernie surrogate. It's run by Jon Faverau and dan pfeiffer, former obama staffers.

star talk has always been great, but I haven't listened to it much in the last year.

It's somewhat interesting. And by that I mean, maybe worthy of a 1 hour episode of This American Life or something. 11 episodes? Boring as fuck.

She didn't even talk to Bergdahl ffs. Still, she was clearly biased towards him as she showed a great deal of sympathy for his decision, but then when hundreds of soldiers are annoyed that they are required to go through weeks of hell on a wild and pointless goose chase to find him, she wonders why they "couldn't just do their job" without complaining. Very funny.

Also, the theme song is shitty this season.
