The ACC is not nor will it ever be a northeastern conference. Who gives a shit about Syracuse south of D.C.? Who's driving up to New York from North Carolina or south of there when that's 8 of their schools. Perhaps if they're only catering to poser UNC and Duke fans in New Jersey.

The ACC, outside of Duke, doesn't really have a footprint in the tri-state area. Its dumb to try and force a way in. UMd was as close to NYC as Syracuse is.

North Carolina is and will always be the heartbeat of the conference.

The thing is, John "Julius Nyang'Oro" Swofford is all about the cash, so he'll move it to MSG at least for a little while.

I think Greensboro, DC, Atlanta, Charlotte, etc are great locations for centrality to all the schools, even though there's a lot more to do in NYC than any of those cities. But the Va Tech Boston College game will be boring on a Wednesday regardless of what city the tourney is in.

Found out that for the first time in the four years I've been in pep band, I finally get to go. Free trip to and from Greensboro each day that we play. I'm pretty damn excited.

I'd love to go to the ACC tournament in NYC...but only once in like every 10 or 15 years...shit is too expensive. Same goes for DC.
