Are you in the raleigh area? If so check with the local barnes amd noble. Just call the store in the morning and ask them to save boxes from their shipment that day.

Also, when I briefly worked for a moving company we were always giving away boxes to people who wanted them for moving, even if they weren't using our service.

I would also suggest the boxes that reams of copier paper come in. Inquire at your local cube farm.
