Really? I thought they stopped them because of the threat of E coli.

Damn, I love sprouts and thought they were very healthy. Never knew they could be such a risk

I thought they stopped them because they're gross.

sprouts aren't unhealthy, this risk is a side affect of mass market food product. It really would only take the JJs employees washing the sprouts properly when they unbag them in the store to nearly eliminate the risk, but there's no way they can guarantee the employees are washing the sprouts, so legally they have to say there's always a risk.

I randomly tried them once on a sammich where they were included among the recommended toppings, and they totally ruined the sandwich for me. They were not merely unpalatable, but texturally gross. I felt like i was eating grass. I've steered clear of them ever since.

Sprouts are awesome on a sandwich. I usually put radish/alfalfa sprouts on my sammich in place of lettuce. Gives it a nice crunch.

Yep, I'm a fan of sprouts. I grow my own alfalfa/broccoli/mung bean sprouts in a device similar to this.

Had this on a very nice ham pita with avocado slices last week at work. I had about three bites and promptly removed the sprouts. The sandwich was so much better without them. A sprout fan I am not.
