I know and do see that. But why Wolfram did not Note any assumption is quite careless.

^ yeah, pretty surprised too.

they made up their own assumption that a != 0.

remember, 0 is always a legit value for any variable, unless otherwise indicated.

i love gre/sat questions... if you have more where you are confused, please do post, i demolished the gre
