if you could? This lady did...
http://abc11.com/news/high-school-student-arrested-after-it-was-discovered-she-was-34/62442/
I enjoyed high school, but I am glad it is over. We had something like this happen when I was in high school, only it was the other way around. A Sheriff posed as a student and bought drugs from other students and then busted them a few months later once they got all of the evidence they wanted.

^ how much time did it really take to get a 4.0+ in high school.
I coasted through HS with very little effort and had a 4.13 or something.

Someone once told me (paraphrased): "If high school was the best four years of your life, then you fucked up"
Highschool for me was awesome. I wasn't popular or even noticeable, but I met my wife and my best friends. I had opportunities to travel the US and parts international, but I'd never choose to go back.
18 was a spring board, not a peak. 5/16/2014 12:05:39 AM

These aren't mutually exclusive unless you went to the school of Math and Sciences or something.

I'd have a hard time explaining things if I went back now. I'm old enough to have a kid in high school.
That said, if I could take a mulligan on the years 14 thru 18, I'd be all over that shit. Why? Because I might actually be mature enough to do the right thing and make good grades instead of being a rebel without a clue. Most of us don't realize just how bad we're fucking ourselves until quite a while after.
That and I'd have totally dated a lot of the halfway attractive girls I turned my nose up at. I wasn't well socialized as a child and really just needed the experience.
Growing up in a place like Smithfield was traumatic on many levels, but it didn't really need to be. 5/16/2014 7:58:12 AM

I still don't get why that lady posed as a student. She could have just stayed at a shelter and not had to study. Maybe she was a drop out though and wanted to see if she had what it took to finish.

I wish I could do age 14 over again. The summer of 1994 between 8th grade and high school was pretty awesome. That was the last year of my childhood. I sat at home and watched the World Cup and my family traveled back home to Iowa for a week or two. After that my dad who is a carpenter, started making me go to work fulltime for him during summer break. I've pretty much been working ever since. My sister on the other hand worked at Target one summer during high school and never really started working anywhere until she went off to college at NC State. She actually got to enjoy her high school summer breaks. 5/16/2014 9:08:09 PM

Why not? Even when it sucked, you could still have fun. Kinda like now except with truly no responsibilities. If I knew what I know now, I'd get into more trouble and try even less.

If I could go back retaining the knowledge that I currently have, sure.
I was introverted, shy, lacked confidence going through high school. If I could do it over again, being the guy I am now, high school would have been much more fun and interesting. 5/17/2014 10:14:35 PM

as most have said...no way in hell I would just go back and do HS over again.
However, there are things that I would do differently if I could go back and relive those years knowing what I know now. But I am extremely happy with my wife and my life. I'd change my profession if I could, but otherwise...there is nothing that I could do/change in my previous high school years that would make my life any better. 5/18/2014 8:10:23 AM

Yeah, that would be one thing I would do differently if I could go back in time. I was kind of shy too. I had friends that I liked to hang out with, but there are some other people that I could have become good friends with. I would never go to lunch with them though when they asked me to ride with them. Sometimes we would end up at the same place and enjoy each others company though. I'm just thankful that later on in life I worked at a grocery store near my high school while in college and all of my co-workers pretty much forced me to join myspace and facebook. Those two things caused me to reconnect with a lot of people from high school who I have since become good friends with. 5/18/2014 11:49:43 AM

Unlike the majority of the introverted socially awkward geeks that patrol forums like this, I was a god in high school. Multi-sport star, valedictorian, and prom king, and was still friends with everyone, including the alternative crowd kids. I'd go back but I'd do it even better this time around. 5/18/2014 12:15:05 PM

^I was kind of like that too on a much smaller scale and I still am. I played on the men's soccer team, was water boy for the women's soccer team, and played in the local rec league with a lot of those people. Everyone knew me because of that. Once men's season was over though I joined the school's social chess club. That group kept to themselves a lot and didn't do anything else fun in the community. They were really fun to hang out with though. In the post high school years I have found an "in crowd" to hang with, but I am also good friends with a really shy guy that I worked at the store with in college. I finally talked him into going to the bar with me and a house party not that long ago. He really enjoyed it too.

Go back in a time machine to my high school days? Or re-do high school in 2014?
The first one would be pretty awesome. Just have fun and not have any bills to pay, etc. The latter wouldn't be as much fun. Security cameras everywhere, you'd probably get suspended for 2 weeks for calling somebody a faggot, etc. 5/18/2014 3:53:30 PM
