Even being a cop sucks. You get to carry a gun, but then they put you on "saturation patrol" so you can Take the Fight to the Night.

I've always had the desire to chug a IBC root beer at a stop light, in my car, while a cop is following me, and I am perfectly sober, just to see if they would pull me over for suspicion of drinking and driving.

i was carded one time for carrying a six pack of root beer.

it took me a minute to figure out what was going on, then i couldn't stop laughing.

^yeh, you've got to be close enough and have a good angle. This "training" and "spotting" bullshit is just more fear mongering. If a cop wants to pull you over, they'll find an excuse. Ain't that right, restricted? Hell, the NCGA just made that even easier with that stupid license plate frame law.

^^ Just? Wasn't that like 2010? I still haven't bothered to remove mine...maybe I should get on that.

they can spot seat belt violations at night, but they can't tell the difference between a cell phone and a gun.

yup.

hell, I used to get pulled over in my Mustang while wearing my seatbelt in broad daylight.

Police can spot a lack of seatbelts at night, but can't recognize their own state license plates and stickers in broad daylight.

So wait they outlawed those license plate frames, but those tinted covers that go over the plate are ok? I see those things all the damn time.

Assuming they're illegal, I'm surprised cops aren't enforcing it more often

IMO all license plate covers should be illegal. The only reason people have them is to make their license plates more difficult to read. The excuse is to keep the plate clean, but you keep your plate clean to make it easier to read, which covers do not do.
