I drive through there every week day.
They have one of the nicest shooting ranges in NC.

Drinking and smoking along the trails/gas pipeline ROW behind South Elementary

Hitting up Davidson's lake campus cause we thought we had a chance with the lifeguards , etc.




Haven't spent a significant amount if time downtown recently though. Bathtub Gin (bar/music venue) seems like it might draw an interesting crowd and be fun.

What-A-Burger was cool.

The Burger was what you would expect for an old fashioned drive in. I just ordered mine all-the-way and ate it how it came. It was good. The onion rings and potato fingers were pretty nasty. I don't mind greasy food but they were not fried correctly and were saturated.

What I found more interesting was sitting in my car at a drive in that has been in the same place largely unchanged for over 50 years. This place obviously pre-dated sign ordinances, and before there were interstates was surely a landmark on the highway passing through "moores-veal" as well.

The outside waitress was having a very heated argument with her son in law beside the kitchen door which was entertaining too.

I went to the What A Burger in Mooresveal..... it twas a greasy mess. Not bad though.

The fun part was that its an old timey drive in that has been there a REALLY long time.

I remember the ONLY thing I ever really went to Mooresville for back in the day was the DMV...until we became infatuated with Jack in the Box for some reason. And there was that one turn off of HWY 115 north of Davidson, on the way to Mooresville where the road had a pretty abrupt incline and you could get some air if you sped up enough. Right across the RR tracks.

But yea, going home to Huntersville is even sad anymore. All of the eastern edge of Lake Norman is a clusterfuck.
