The first one to open in Raleigh closed today after 47 years. I can't thank them enough though because they helped open the one that I go to. I love ordering the Big and Toasted when I eat there.

^Yeah, I've been to Boston twice. They have stores everywhere. You pass one in the subway as you are walking out and then there is another one on the street very close to the station exit. I don't see how that many can survive.

I've never met anyone outside of this state who thinks Krispy Kreme is better than Dunkin. Dunkin has vastly superior coffee, better donuts, more variety of donuts, and they also make really good breakfast sandwiches.

Let me clarify...DD has pretty good doughnuts. But KK has exceptional doughnuts.

The only kk donut I enjoy is the original and preferably when it's hot ( and I still prefer cake donuts). Outside of that DD donuts coffee is way better (actually decent for a fast food type coffee) and they have lots of donuts I enjoy. I don't claim to be a southerner though so maybe cake donuts are in my Yankee blood.

In reality though, cake is really all they do well. Otherwise their doughnuts are pretty meh imo. Bear claw thingys aren't too bad I spose. Munchkins aren't bad either. Pretty meh though. As I mentioned earlier, bagels are complete shit, worst I've ever had. Sound like their breakfast is shit too.
