new bars threads

food network shows (though this could arguably fall in entertainment, but it would be cool here)

cooking (you could have a thread for different cuisines, styles, techniques, etc.)

cooking equipment/appliances

liquor (threads for different kinds)

kitchen rennovations / remodeling

you could probably move stuff having to do with vegetable/herb gardening here

I don't know, I think it would be cool.

there are so many different topics for a food and beverage section

from restaurant recommendations for vegans, Indian food, cheap, etc to threads dedicated to a single recipe to the importance of brand choice for some ingredients and what ingredients are ok to cheap out on.

You could get into gourmet cooking techniques or wine pairings, what side dishes go well with certain courses or what famous chef will be guest appearing locally, or awesome local foodie events

....and if were properly moderated it would actually be a useful resource, as opposed to chit chat
