I have noticed that a lot of men will give equal pressure that I give during handshakes. Sometimes I start squeezing harder to see how far they will go. I've pulled away with a sore hand on numerous occasions and give them a big smile.

seriously though stop with the crushing grip bullshit.
I can tap the ends of a #3 captains of crush gripper and really think it's ultra faggy to try and injure people you meet out of some bizzare machismo exercise.

For the sane people out there: To avoid dipshits from inflicting any pain on you at all without resorting to fisticuffs, during handshakes raise your index finger a smidge and lightly touch the bone on the bottom of their wrist. This turns the lateral forces into longitudinal forces on the delicate bones in your hands. They can pour it on all day and you'll barely feel it.
You'll notice politicians do this during campaign time when they have to shake like a million hands a day.

This method can be hard-countered by a quick-gripping asshole who grabs your knuckles like motherfucking idiot, so to avoid this I advise a slow approach followed by a quick snap forward jamming the webbing of your thumbs together.

If you are still somehow out-maneuvered, shove them into some trashcans.

Firm handshaker and I don't consider myself to be an awkward handshaker, but I absolutely hate it when some idiot grabs my fingers instead of my hand and tries to crush them thinking it is a handshake.
