I leave mine in an extra tacky margarita glass. Bristles up.

I'm not gonna lay it in a drawer or put it in a case all wet, and I'm not buying one of those disinfecting light thingies.

So yeah.

^^ in a holder so the bristles aren't on the counter. New to this? Did you grow up in a barn?

(I actually have a UV sanitizer but only because I just thought it was a holder when I ordered it)

it's not because of poo particles, but i do rinse mine before use. just like it wet i suppose [/giggity]

ntm mine is electric so it has a stand anyway. would not be opposed to laying it on the counter though.

Whenever i need to brush my teeth, I just go to Moore Square. Because I know there will always be homeless people there.

It is very hard, but believe it or not, it is actually possible to put the brush on the counter so that the bristles are pointing up in the air rather than laying on the side touching the counter.

^^The idea is that you want the water to go down and off the brush end.

the opposite side from the bristles is still in your mouth (although that's arguably less gross than sniffing another mans dirty boxers)

I leave mine in the shower, because I brush my teeth in the shower. Some people think that's weird.

I leave it in a cup. But I try to run hot water through it before I brush. I also leave a separate brush in the shower.

Again, I know it is extremely difficult, but it IS possible to jerk your brush after brushing to remove so much water from it that even if you put it vertically, NO water runs down from it, rather it will just evaporate.

IN FACT, I would argue that IF you don't give your brush a jerk/snap, you are the one who is eww, because if you don't do that, water stays at the base of the brush head among the roots of the bristles and DOES NOT all drip/run down... it is called physics. And in a cold climate, even when you come back to it 12 or even 24 hours later, the water is still there at the base of the brush head, and now, that's NASTY as hell, as it has been sitting there, in contact with the ickiest part of the brush (the roots of the bristles, which are the likeliest to have tiny food particles, especially if you don't rinse your brush properly) and festering.

So, if you want to do anything to keep your brush clean, rinse it properly after brushing under high pressure water, check to make sure you can't see any food particles at the base, then give it a couple of violent jerks to remove nearly all water from it (check and you will see the water is visibly gone), and then you can keep it in any position you want as it doesn't have enough water to run anywhere in any direction, only evaporate.

Hey troll, read above. And learn some basic physics, such as evaporation, surface tension, cohesion, adhesion, Newton's Laws, and gravity vs. adhesion.

TIL that you can set your toothbrush wherever you want and it can't pick up any bacteria or poop particles because of evaporation, surface tension, adhesion, Newton's Laws, and gravity vs. adhesion.

god damn dude, how dirty is your mouth that you regularly brush out visible food particles?

it's not really trolling.

1 - you are an admitted underwear sniffer
2 - you posted a shitload of nonsense

it's a perfectly valid question.

The poo particles just make my immune system stronger. Same reason I eat expired food and food dropped on the floor. With that and advances in modern science it's not crazy to think I could live to be 245, maybe 300...

^yep. I have to believe that my prospensity to be a nasty kid is the reason I hardly get sick. My gf worries about every little thing (germs, food allergies, etc.), and yet she's sick every couple months. I don't even wash my pots and pans half the time, and i maybe get sick once a year. Maybe.
