I've heard of guys getting tracked down for child support after donating at a sperm bank. Ridiculous.

If I was somehow sure that there was no way I would be held legally/financially responsible in any way and I was good friends with one of the couple, I'd prob do it. I'd still want to be updated on how the kid is doing and stuff.
