Because their starting QB is injured and so is their top WR.

We've seen this story. Their top QB is out, the back-up is a young dual-threat QB...he's about to kill us on the ground.

Remember when South Florida came to C-F and beat the crap out of us during a monsoon. That was fun.

I was there, and yeah, I left at halftime too. I saw a large tree branch on a jaguar (iirc) in the faculty parking lot.

I remember going to watch us play South Carolina during hurricane dennis when I was in college. Walked to the stadium and back from west campus. Never felt more soaked and dirty in my entire life haha.

If you were a student that's just sad. The rain was awesome. It wasn't even cold. Embrace getting soaked.

^^Remember that game too...think we won like 10-7 or somethin like that. That would've been under O'Cain, IIRC.

I was sitting near DT for the monsoon game. He bailed at halftime. That was my cue. Monsoon + Harrison Beck was too much.

That rain was freezing after the fact. I remember watching that shit show then having to ride in the back of a pickup because my original ride left early. Was the third coldest I've ever been.

It sucks to be injured when NCSU is on your schedule. Their backups will probably have a record setting day and will have jumped them in the depth chart by the time they return.

Jesus, I had almost forgotten about that game. I was able to move up to the front row of 7/8 by the third quarter because so many people had bailed.

I think you mean the second row - I was in section 7 for that game and there was about a foot of water pooling in the first row with all of the concession trash floating on top of it.

I stuck around for the enjoyment of watching the USF coordinators cuss out and berate their players constantly even with a five touchdown lead.

I remember that game well. We got slaughtered. Goes along with the other game that was a running TD on the first play of the game from a Florida area team.

They passed out bags on the seats with Hardees free burger cards. I racked up about 30 of them at halftime.

Stayed through the whole thing. Was smart enough to bring a ziploc bag to put my phone in.

Really wasn't that cold of rain...

with that said, we win by 17 in this game thanks to our Front 4 on D.

^Central Florida in TOB's first game. Kevin Smith ripped off a 80 yard TD to ring in the TOB era.

yup. A 7 foot tall RB that goes 80 on the first play.

There are about 3 players i remember dominating at CF for visiting teams. One was Calvin Johnson, That guy was another and then Hester for Miami.

Those guys were miles ahead as far as talent goes.

this team came pretty close to losing to Western Carolina. not sure if they had their starting QB/WR in for that but still. I bet they crush us either way, but as always, I hope we pull out a W.

Didn't we own the Calvin Johnson teams, though?

^^^I remember Calvin Johnson catching a pass thrown behind him with one hand while falling down to keep the game-winning drive going.

Woody mother fucking Dantzler in 2001.

23 carries 184 yards. 23/27 passing, 333 yards. 6 total TDs. Set school records for TDs and yards that game. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if Boyd broke those records.

hah i remember this game. totally stayed the entire time and there was only like 15 other students in the SEZ section by the end of the game (most of which were quite inebriated and had an ample supply of airplane bottles)

Ohhhhhoho, I remember those two plays vividly. Calvin Johnson with the greatest catch I've ever witnessed (full momentum going one way, one-handed catch stretched out the other). Hester single handedly shut up all of CF (and the stupid students chanting “fuck Miami" just before kick-off)

I'll also nominate Nate Robinson with his put-back dunk for honorable opposing player mention.

Spiller was also clearly out of bounds on one of his TD's. Fuck the defense we've had for most of the last 7-8 years. Career days against State are the norm.
