Post your worst fan stories here.
I remember being at the game vs UConn in 2003(?) when a really drunk State fan got angry that we were trailing and started constantly chanting "UUUUUU CCCCC ONNNNNN U- CONN!" like the NNNCCCSTAAATE chant. Everyone was too depressed to tell him to shut up.
Was anyone around for any of the ECU fights in the late 80s? My dad was caught up in one on the hill.
Also have to mention the dickheads that go to Washington Nats games with their fucking iPad and read the whole time. 9/9/2014 1:49:32 PM |

Dude that sits near me addresses his comments directly to the coach/ whichever player on our team, and he does it every single play. From like row X in the upper deck...."C'MON TACKLE THE GUY WITH THE BALL!"..."HEY MARQUEZ, YOU ARE A RECEIVER, YOU SHOULD CATCH THE BALL!"
I'm not saying I don't understand where he's coming from, but that's the kind of shit that drives me up the wall at the game. If you want to bitch about bad tackling or not catching a pass, go on ahead, but don't yell it like he can hear your or something.
It's like watching the game with packpride. 9/9/2014 6:14:59 PM |

I got a Duke fan ejected from the student section during that game they were killing us in CF by egging him on until he took swing at me. I'm a little embarrassed about it now, but not much. 9/10/2014 3:21:04 PM |

I was at a Mets game in maybe 2002. It was Mets vs DBacks. And Byung-hyun Kim was pitching for the DBacks. Y'all remember him? Closer from South Korea with a real funky submarine style. He's on the mound and these two or three Asian guys behind us, I assume they were South Korean and cheering on their fellow countryman, kept shouting "Oooh Byung-hyun Kim. Come on Byung-hyun Kim. Ayy Byung-hyun Kim" over and over. Like, it wasn't a chant or anything. They just kept repeating his name over and over and over. Finally some guy in front of them turned around and yelled "shut the fuck up BHK fucking sucks". And they did shut up. Not really a bad fan story...just always thought it was funny.
I used to go with my dad to NC State football games when he had season tickets. There was this guy that always sat behind us who would get really drunk and always leave at halftime. He never really bothered us but he was just a fucking idiot. At one point we had Toney Baker and Oliver Hoyte, both #22, on the team at the same time. Maybe Chuck Amato's last year, or somewhere along in there. Don't remember exactly. For the average fan who watches college football, you kinda know that it's not too crazy or out of the ordinary for two players to have the same number. They obviously play different sides of the ball and wouldn't be on the field at the same time. Well, I don't remember what game it was, but Toney Baker was playing pretty well. Maybe had just ripped off a long TD or something. On the ensuing kick off Oliver Hoyte is on the field. We kick it off and Hoyte runs down field pops the returner and forces a fumble. And the drunk idiot behind us absolutely lost it. "Oh my god did y'all see that?!! That was Baker!! Same guy that just scored!! Holy shit what a player!!!" And nobody ever corrected him, but it was so funny at the time. And it's not like Hoyte was scrub that never played. He was a LB that saw the field plenty, may have even been a starter at the time. But this guy was completely oblivious to that.
