When are we getting Puerto Rico in the union dammit?

They voted for it, but so far it's just been ignored. Perhaps by their own government? I'm not really sure. Perhaps if Scotland votes for independence, governments will just ignore that too.

I think that it is really important to understand what the major gripe is here. It seems to me that the Capitalist (mostly oil and whiskey exporters) are taking a good opportunity to get out of the UK to make more money for themselves, and by doing so they will string along the younger generation on a "freedom vote" to tip the poles. More than likely, whatever currency they acquire (likely will not be the Euro or pound) will be highly de-valued and the normal folks in Scotland are going to get screwed with exchange rates.

I'm glad they stayed though. I think the younger people just wanted freedom for the sake of it but they're much better off staying with the UK
