Nope. Was time to move, and I'm not giving up half custody of my daughter by leaving her...and the professional community I was part of is pretty broken and dysfunctional, not to mention a dying aircraft. Almost everyone I know is getting out rather than going back there. I knew a guy who turned down the opportunity to be a commanding officer...a couple of Majors with 12+ years in who got out, etc. A few escaped to Navy Postgraduate School for a few years and then managed to change their MOS. It's been 10 years full of neat experiences, but an easy decision to resign.
I might do the Reserves. 9/24/2014 11:26:02 PM

Post grad school, ~ 2 years.
Then they took muh jerb, which at the time was a huge ![](images/frown.gif) But I found a transfer pretty quickly and easily, and ended up in a much better situation all around . Been here for ~4 years. 9/25/2014 8:28:15 AM

I had a couple of temp jobs for the first year after graduating with my MS. Was trying to find something related to meteorology in the Raleigh area, but jobs are very limited in a specialized field such as that. My first salary job last roughly 2.5 years until I got sick of being in the Central Plains ![](images/sick.gif) 9/25/2014 8:37:04 AM

I'm younger than most (all?) here...I'm still in my first job. Going on a year now. After ~9 months they relocated me to GA. And I'll be here another 3 months minimum. But after that I wanna get back to NC...which will most likely involve taking a new job. 9/25/2014 8:51:53 AM

I got a shitty job immediately out of college. I told them I was interviewing for a job I actually wanted, but they just needed someone to help with a contract they had so I worked there for like 8 days (lol) and then started at another company. Then on my second day there they were acquired by larger company, my department was redundant and I basically got laid off 2 months later, but this job ended up sucking anyways so that was cool. Being laid off was the shit. Best 3 months of my life.

over 5.5 years, with no promotion and only 4% raise total from start to current - and I'm one of maybe 15 people in the building with an MS. Which is why I'm going back to school for an MBA. Fuck this place. 9/25/2014 5:40:27 PM

5.5 years here. I've considered leaving a few times, and while it seems like it often sucks, it's not a bad gig. They seem to respect my work and I get $ bumps in reasonable timeframes (every ~1.5-2 years or so).
