Shit gives me a headache and I spend the whole time looking away when I think a transition is coming up 9/25/2014 10:23:55 AM

I also dislike Prezi. (mostly because during tech training at work they always try to get teachers to use it... and it turns into powerpoint slides with distracting transitions and nothing more) 9/25/2014 10:26:10 AM

I hate it too. Not for those reasons, I just think it is trying to be too trendy. Nothing wrong with Powerpoint. People say it is obsolete/boring/whatever but I'm a firm believer that it is the presenter/author of the slides that is boring, not the program they are using. 9/25/2014 10:26:40 AM

I like all of its embeddables (totally a word), but I tell my students that PPT is faster and less likely to induce motion sickness
^^Ya, you can download your prezi and save as an offline file

When done effectively, Prezi looks pretty slick. The problem is that usually people overdo the transitions and jump through slides too quickly so it looks like a chaotic mess. It's especially bad when people try to go back to previous slides. ![](images/facepalm.gif) 9/25/2014 12:27:41 PM
