^i'll be the first to say i was pretty confident in our chances to get to a bowl before the BC game.

But it's pretty hard to see many (any?) winnable games remaining on the schedule after that debacle. The only saving grace, kinda, is that after this week we have a bye leading into @Cuse. Which isn't unwinnable. Although I'd much rather that be at home. Then we still have Wake at home. And another open week before @UNC. So maybe we can regroup at the bye week, come out and get our shit together. That's wishful thinking I know, but I'm looking for something to grasp onto here

the somewhat silver lining, is that preseason 5-2 was really the best we could be realistically looking at right now. with last week's BC game as a real toss up, even in preseason. so to be 4-3 isn't necessarily unfathomable. and in fact, a lot of people probably expected us to be 4-3 (0-3) right now. it's just been a rather demoralizing last two weeks after feeling sorta positive about things after the dominating win over USF and then playing tough with FSU.

It's also avg for us all time. We all want more, but 7-6 > 3-9. If they'd known they could have gotten a proven commodity from a bigger conference, then by all means. But our first choice was a MAC guy who benefitted from FBS Affirmative Action for Crap Conferences and played in a bowl they probably didn't deserve.
