My s/o 10 years ago was a blonde lifeguard. Wasn't even really my taste back then but she was into me and she was hot so I went with it. Turned out she was a spoiled brat and she is now married to the guy she cheated on me with.

My current s/o is a PhD candidate, a musician, brilliant in every possible way, very pretty, super sweet and down to earth, and is also into me. If we had known each other 10 years ago it would have been weird because of the age difference (23-28 is fine, 13-18 would not have been ok)

Let's see, 10 years ago I would have been 19. I got my first s/o when I was 21. I don't need a picture, I can look at my hand right in front of me.

But if we fudge the numbers again and just go to my first girlfriend... have my tastes changed? No. I never really had specific tastes for looks. The pool of my significant others and even serious interests isn't very big but it has blonde, brunette, and redhead; big breasts, small breasts, medium breasts; thick, athletic, and tiny; white and black. Personality goes a long way with Grumpy.

My standards have gone up overall, though, because I no longer think I'm repulsive to women. It took a long time to figure out that the only really repellent thing about me was how sure I was that I was repellent.

She was maybe a 7 or 8 in Raleigh, but we broke up and I moved to Wilmington for the summer and she turned into a 5 by comparison to the wealth of hot women in that town. She's recently gotten fat and I don't even like to claim her as an ex. So my standards definitely went up.

My tastes are still similar...short and petite....yet athletic. I only don't regret the relationship because of the dating experience it gave me. Looking back, she wasn't even that great of a person.

But with regard to my tastes - well, I still like big boobs, and particularly I like short, meaty girls with big boobs. And I still don't really give that much of a shit what the girl looks like - as long as she's passably attractive and has boobs of reasonable size - just as long as she's secure in herself and really fucking smart.

I AM, however, no longer eager to date extremely confident, witty, self-possessed women. Because when I finally succeeded in dating such a woman, it wasn't all that awesome.

Pretty much this. I don't generally date a "type." I just date people that seem cool that I see something in. I think maybe I pick better as I get older, but all of my relationships have eventually failed, so who knows.

My physical ideal would be a slender guy with dark brown hair and a brown beard. I don't meet too many of those around here so I just make do.

I was still with my first boyfriend 10 years ago. I don't regret the relationship, but I'm glad I didn't end up with him.
