The other day at my job some regional people showed up to watch everyone work and make sure the operation was set up correctly to make us efficient. The guys in my department were very quiet and did their job instead of cussing at each other and slacking off like normal. It kind of reminded of teacher observation day in math class in 10th grade. My teacher was a racist bitch who failed something like 97% of her students. When I asked her a question she just yelled at me and said, "LOOK AT YOUR NOTES!" Now on observation day she was very polite and helpful and did a good job teaching us. Did anyone else ever experience a similar situation? Job observations are pretty stupid if you ask me. 10/19/2014 1:11:30 AM

^We actually get observed all the time by district people at my job. They are always looking for new ways to improve efficiency, but yeah, the teacher observations were always a joke. The teachers acted different and so did the disruptive students. 10/19/2014 11:47:02 AM

I'm the one conducting teacher observations now. Announced observations are almost completely worthless. Unannounced observations can tell you a lot. 10/19/2014 12:30:28 PM
