Anywhere that rents/lends these things anymore? Got a CEL on a 96 F150 that I need a little more than code's read at advance to figure out. 11/6/2014 7:29:27 AM |

Most OBD2 code readers will give you the same code(s) for a general CEL. O'Reilly's actually provided the freeze frame data (maybe a dozen or so operating parameters?) which is more than the Advance or Vato Zone ones would do and the O'Reilly's near me would actually loan it to you for intermittent CEL's and just take a credit card # on file for insurance. More than that then you're talking about going to an indy shop with a Ford-specific diagnostic computer or advertising on Craigslist for someone to read it for a six-pack. 11/6/2014 5:59:04 PM |

depends on which model you get. you're probably just reads the code? The one I have is pretty dynamic. Will do freeze frames and stuff. 11/6/2014 9:05:16 PM |

Just to be clear I was talking about just using oreillys loaner scanner that they themselves use for this time, dont purchase that crap they sell. 11/10/2014 9:11:37 PM |
