That's brutal. It's hard to believe there are people (especially groups) out there with that mindset.

We had lots of house parties and we always did our best to protect our guests and look out for things like this. Once when I was president I had to kick out this one kid who was feeling up random girls. When I approached him, he got scared and tried to run through the tarp we used as a fence out back. I had him by the throat for a little while but eventually he broke through and left. The crazy thing is, he was there with a group of friends including his girl friend. They took him home and came back to the party.

A school should never be involved in a criminal investigation. The school has too much to lose and will rightfully do everything they can to bury it.

This girl may exist, she may have gone to an administrator to make claims.

And of course UVa is in full damage control mode, they've just been accused of having a decades old policy of ignoring gang rape. Even if there's no basis in fact I'm sure it's damaged the school's reputation.

Parts of the article are so fantastic that they deserve some serious scrutiny and corroboration before being considered worthy of investigation let alone being assumed to be true.

They're allegations, not facts, just keep that in mind.
