Baffles me how unaware some people can be. Excusing the question/debate if willingly making or accepting such a cake is morally decent, all parties involved deserve all negative consequences for being dumb enough to allow it on social media.

As an employer, my first concern would be the individuals decision making abilities and would never hire someone who made this bad of a call.
