My boss is addicted to coca cola and chocolate so I asked her if she ever put chocolate syrup in her cokes and she said no, that she preferred peanuts. I said I had never heard of that and she laughed and said I'm not a real Southerner.

chocolate syrup is added to cokes. I think it was popular at diners back in the day. Johnny Rockets at Broadway at the Beach (Myrtle) does it. It's better than vanilla coke
