The movie was released through online providers such as YouTube movies and Google Play.

I was going to pay $8 to see it in a theater, so I don't mind paying $5.99, split between the other folks watching with me, to rent it online. Will be watching tonight.

See I think it just depends on who you are.

I noticed that if you like something stupid like Team America, you think the Interview sucks.

Meanwhile if you weren't that huge of a fan of puppetry tomfoolery and you are a more grounded person, you liked the Interview more.

I really liked it. You haters gunna hate. Hate us cause they ain't us.

I also thoroughly enjoyed Team America. I thought that one was funnier, but this was a more entertaining movie as a whole.

Also, Team America was way more offensive than this one but didn't cause this kind of controversy. Even 30 Rock had a North Korea arc that no one really got worked up about. I'm confused why this one got so much attention.

I think what I like most is the lack of shock humor. Movies like the Hangover become less funny after you already know what's coming. If I could compare this to any other movie, I'd say it's kind of like Tropic Thunder as far as humor, cast chemistry, and production value.

I'd give it a B. I liked it.

Its an over-the-top stoner comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously. No one should go in expecting groundbreaking or world-changing anything out of this movie. It's like Dumb and Dumber Go To North Korea.
