I was really fortunate this year. I got new tires, a new crockpot, new clothes, a lot of high-end makeup and accessories I would never have bought for myself, and a huge bookshelf my boyfriend made, mainly to get all my books out of his way.

The best gift I got this year was from my daughter. She is 6 and had a "santa shop" at kindergarten where everything was a dollar. She took her own money and bought me a tape measure for my workshop.

My wife and I got ourselves a treadmill as our main present from santa though.

But one of the best gifts was my mom gave me these two ceramic Christmas mice that wrap around tapered candles. My grandma and grandpa got them their first year they were married. They're both gone now so it definitely pulled on the heart strings.
