Yes, when Chapel Hill Transit cancelled all buses. So nobody could get to campus.

When I was still a student State would not cancel class for anything. Snow == 2 hour delay.

Or we had to wait for the professors to decide they didn't want to drive in and get an email saying they were canceling classes. I think, in my four years at State, they canceled classes all day school wide once.

Yea I think most of the universities are starting to realize they might be liable if they make students and staff come in during shitty weather. Some of my older coworkers said that UNC used to never shut down or have a delayed opening, but I think I have had probably a half dozen days work was completely shut down and another half dozen early closings or late start days. I'm not complaining.
