^^It's now called Outlook Mail, and it's quite good; your old @hotmail.com and @msn.com and @live.com addresses now use that spiffy new interface.

Anyway, the problem was using that personal e-mail account for official business and then not being diligent about getting that official e-mail archived; it doesn't help that she registered that account on the day she was confirmed and using a domain that she personally controlled (which means basically she's the one the subpoenas would go to, instead of some third party who would have less interest in keeping certain things hidden).

AFAIK she technically hasn't broken the law, but she sure has done her best to drag her feet about proper recordkeeping.

The second article only indicates the State Department couldn't find specific emails. It says nothing about whether or not they exist or if she turned them over to the State Department. It's a pretty big leap to assume just because the State department can't find them, that somehow Clinton and her record keeping are the reason why.

I'm about as liberal as they come, and this whole thing is sketchy as fuck to me.

It's precisely this type of shit that would cause me to not vote for her. She has not presented herself in a trustworthy manner. She has conducted herself poorly, and there is absolutely no way that she can claim otherwise. Every single government employee knows how they should be using email. I think Carly Fiorina is a dreg of the earth, but she raises a separate, but excellent point about the Clinton family's fundraising. You can't on one hand talk about women's rights being a central issue, and then on the other willingly accept upwards of 25 million dollars from Saudi Arabia - the only country on the planet where women aren't allowed to drive.

I had real issue with Hillary running in 2008. Like, serious, huge red flags. I thought that perhaps a turn in State would make her a more worthy candidate. Somehow, magically, she's managed to burn up every single bit of goodwill and progress she made in my mind in that role with this humongous fuck up.

The question is, who do the democrats get to run in her place? Elizabeth Warren? I'd love it, but it'd never happen. There's not another D candidate out there who could even come close to standing on their own. Even at this point, the party is going to have to prop Hillary up, and I am 100% certain that she gets demolished if the republicans are able to put Jeb Bush on the ticket.

Shit sucks. Way to let me down, Hillary.

I agree that the Clintons are shady as hell. That's kinda their thing.

But, on the point I quoted, I'm pretty sure it's customary for politicians to accept money from anyone who is willing to give it to them. It doesn't mean anything except that they wanted the money. If we start examining who took money from who, then they're all screwed...cause they all take bad money.

If you really don't believe what I said lets do a thought experiment. Lets pretend that every Republican initiative got approved for the last 10 years. 'Scandal' implies something wrong was done, no 'wrong' was done here. She didn't break any rules.

Colin Powell didn't use government email, why aren't you screaming 'scandal' about him? Oh that's right, because he was in a Republican administration. More importantly, because he didn't do anything wrong either.
