American Police are the worst I have seen. They are literally trained to escalate situations.

1. Primary duties of Police in most non-fascist countries is to keep the peace and protect the population.

2. Primary duties of Police in America is to enforce rules and control the population. Same as a fascist country.

We need to ask ourselves the right questions to decide what we want our police to do. POLICE WORK FOR US. Here are some essential questions we will have to answer as we dismantle our current police system and replace it with people's police.

Please answer the following questions and decide if you want 1 or 2.

Q1.Do we want the typical police officer to be a soldier? Most countries only bring the soldiers out when there is a legitimate threat. We treat all of our people as legit threats and therefore all of our police come as soldiers.


Q2. Do we want police to protect their ego (reckless pursuit of anyone who flees) or public safety(no pursuit)? Pursuing a criminal only leads to an escalation of danger.

Q3. Do we want police to enforce petty crimes? Should police enforce petty crime or should that be up to the people?

Q4. Police authority? Should police be able to tell us what to do or should police be at our service? Note: This is not about anarchy. I do think the law should be in the hand of judges and not police. Police should never be able to act as judges soldiers and jurors at the same time.

every encounter i've had with the police (when they were "helping me" or "correcting me" ) does not sound like anything the OP described.

or did you try to show the police officer up? did you question his power? did you call him a name? disrespect him? did you run from the police? were you mentally ill at the time of your encounter? were you committing a socially taboo crime?

You missed the point. A bum should be the measure of the respect you show all humans, so if you show a police more respect, you are giving them special treatment. Most people do this and police expect to get their asses kissed. Then when someone treats them as a normal person, they get violent.
