I haven't been for 14 years and am going today Friday for dinner. What should I get?

Last time I went, they just had pancakes, waffles, and eggs. Just finished looking at the menu, and it is massive.

So, go ahead and suggest your favorites, but nothing with pigs please! . Plus, I am gravitating towards breakfast items (and am thinking of getting TWO! one sweet one savory), as I can get a burger, steak, sandwich, or pasta elsewhere, but am open to anything that is exceptionally good there. After browsing the menu, I think I want to get a couple of items from:

Omelettes
Pancakes or Crepes

P.S. I looked at the nutrition info of all items, and it is insane... many items are 1,000 to 1,500 calories, have 70-100+ grams of fat, 50-70+ grams of protein, etc. However, I am going to indulge myself so I don't care about nutrition this one time .

Mouth watering uncontrollably .

I've always been a fan of their pumpkin pancakes, but I guess it's the wrong time of year for that.

But seriously though, nothing. Their food is pretty bland IMO. You'd be better off at a independant diner, Cracker Barrel, or hell, even Waffle House or Dennys (all in that order).

Belgian Waffles with blueberries, whipped cream and syrup with a sprinkle of powdered sugar.

With a side of crispy bacon.

I keep seeing this IHOP commercial that talks about brioche french toast. I like brioche and I like french toast...so you should maybe give that a whirl.

Make sure to make a reservation. It's the place to be on a Friday night so your best bet is to call and make a reservation.

^^^ Thanks for the tip, will call.

Thanks to everybody, including those suggesting pigs

I am definitely going to IHOP, that's not changing. So, keep those suggestions coming. I will probably respond to some of the individual comments later.

If you give the hostess a $20 she will take you to the VIP room.

I am no connoisseur of American breakfast restaurants or foods, and neither have I been to American diners or breakfast places other than 4-5 times ever. So, for me it was fine, I liked it. I had:

* Garden Omelette
* Side of 3 NY Cheesecake Pancakes

The pancakes were out of this world!

In all, I consumed:

1,885 kcal
990 kcal from fat

110 g fat
41 g saturated fat
2.5 g trans fat
1 g cholesterol

3 g sodium

163 g carbohydrates
64 g sugar
11 g fiber

65 g protein

How many condiments did you steal to fill up your pantry at home?

Was the toilet paper too shitty for you to take? Or are you okay with see through TP?

IHOP tastes like they dump a ton of sugar into their food. I rarely go there.

That's because they dump a ton of sugar into their food. You can get the Beetus just from walking by that place.
