I don't see anything wrong with the video. I don't think the officer was maliciously trying to throw her to the ground, it looks more like an accident.

Well, toting a gun so you can shoot at cops is a sure fire way to increase black people being killed by cops which will continue the cycle of "White cop shoots and kills black man" so that everyone can be outraged by it some more. I still haven't seen an instance where a white cop just walks up and shoots a black man for absolutely nothing. Pretty much every instance i've seen has been a resisting arrest/attack instance. Its amazing, really, that all it takes is saying "yes sir, no sir" and going about your business to not get killed by a cop...yet some people just can't come to put themselves to do that. Or to not conduct illegal activities. yet they'll still blame the cops for everything. LOL. I guess I am glad to be white. Or to have common sense and respect. i've been pulled over 4 separate times for issues ranging from broken taillight to a truck that was involved in a situation that resembled mine. "Yes Sir, no sir, heres my information sir, thank you sir have a good day". Never once been shot. Never once felt my life was threatened. Never once even had the thought of resisting arrest or running away. I dunno...just too easy i guess.

Unnecessary to you. However he hasn't cuffed her fully yet and had a chance to search her. If she breaks away from him and has a knife in her pocket or a little pea shooter she could easily kill him. Or he would have had to shoot her and then there would be outrage on here over that. Definitely couldn't have easily killed her just by tossing her to the ground...lol. Shes prolly got some scrapes and bruises that will heal. Sadly, it could have all been avoided by her not resisting arrest.

From that video, it seems that he was alerted to her intoxication beforehand. Surely he smelled alcohol on her breath. Therefore, he could have been less aggressive because of her impaired motor skills. Sure, she's going to be able to take more pain in her drunken state. But she also lacks the ability to coherently throw down with the cop. He used excessive force.

I don't have any problem with them busting someone's ass if they're really resisting, and this video doesn't show much, but shit, it looks like she fidgeted and he slammed the shit out of her.

I get not taking any chances; you never know when she'll pull a gun and shoot you, but I don't see why he couldn't have jammed her down against the hood, or even wrestled her down on the ground without bouncing her face off of it.

She was obviously struggling against the officer, I don't believe the cop intended to slam her down that hard, so yeah, again, I side with the cop. She was drunk off her ass with a 6 year old, maybe if she would have been sober, she would have been able to control her fall a little better.

Why does intent matter? The video shows what he did, "slam drunk womans head into the pavement". I could push a woman down in a domestic altercation with the i tent to get away from her, if she falls amd breaks her neck against the stove and dies will I not go to jail because I didn't mean for it to happen? That cop could have killed her. He fucked up and should be punished accordingly

You're right, she was uncuffed because she was continuing to struggle. The cop was attempting to put her on the ground to make it easier to subdue her and get her under control and cuff her. He obviously didn't intend for her head to hit the pavement the way it did. You repeated the same procedure 10 different times, I bet the woman lands in a way that doesn't have her head hit the ground that hard/if at all.


And she is clearly squirming/struggling in the video, she isn't stationary.

But nah bro, I'm not having a bad day, I'm actually having a great one.

The procedure of slinging drunk women to the ground? I'm pretty sure they land on their faces quite a bit. That's why none of us actually do it even when we really, really want to.


One of the more telling things about all these cell phone videos is that we never saw shit like this on Cops. They've apparently had a whole host of "standard operating procedures" that, for some reason, police didn't use when they knew cameras were around, or maybe they just didn't air them.

But now that we know exactly what your procedures permit--in fact, encourage--you to do, changes are gonna have to be made.

Ok, if you say so bbehe. I'm not questioning you that she was probably irritating the cop, he couldn't get her cuffed, that's fine.

I would say the bar is set awfully low here to kick it into super-powered pig-fucker mode though. Just because he can and it's the quickest way to get her cuffed with the least amount of trouble is no excuse. I guess the cops can always count on people like you to defend their "1 or 0" binary approach to their job; use no force or use all the force available. Whatever.

Let's just say police overreaction with blacks = death, and with whites = tased and/or thumped stupid on the pavement. Nothing to see here folks; poor misunderstood cops.

Gender matters because it's not that difficult to push a woman against the hood of a car or to get her cuffed when her hands are already behind her back. But, fuck it, slam her head on the pavement...she was squirming!!!!

Of course, these procedures only exist because police swore there was an army of mentally ill giants who did nothing but smoke PCP and threaten cops all day.
