I don't fucking get it..the writers of this petition don't know WHY she was fired. What if she was removed from her position for, say, raping babies? Obviously they'd want to take back all these positive statements they've made about her. I feel like it's pretty dumb to unequivocally support somebody who's been fired for unspecified reasons, unless you know them well enough to be sure that they've done nothing really heinous.

I mean, she was obviously fired for SOME reason. Maybe it's something really, really bad, as opposed to just administrative caprice.

Yeah, sometimes professors get fired for not fulfilling their required duties. I don't know what her contract stated in regards to teaching/research, so I'm not going to assume anything.

Just because she was popular among students doesn't mean she was doing her job.

I remember taking her BIO class one summer, and the nude pics. She was an okay lecturer, but it wasn't hard to figure out she was a head case.

Pardue is her maiden name. She is still listed in the NCSU directory as a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Career Development Center.
