But onto current days, things are changing some finally, but if I report a false accusation to the police I can get charged for that crime.

But does anyone have any recent data to suggest that law enforcement personnel that file a false report that is later disproven gets charged for that crime? Sayyyyyy they kill or beat a person that they said are resisting arrest that is later disproven? Does the filing officer actually get charged for falsifying a police report? I assume not because I haven't seen it, but figured I'd ask you all in case I missed it
