It is a celebration of friendship, fun, and females.
A revelation.
And being at the theater with all those women was wonderful. I love women! 7/2/2015 10:21:44 PM |

Question
Have you been to an actual male strip club?
And if not is this the closes you'll get to one without the guilt? 7/3/2015 1:47:44 AM |

Bridget has probably had to commit identity theft to get out of the financial crisis of maxing out credit cards at Thee Dong House (I'm guessing there is a Thee Doll House equivalent)
But I'd imagine this movie franchise is indeed kind of like acceptable and shameless porn for women. Similar to 50 Shades of Grey.
Not that they still don't look at porn and beat their menstrual meat when they're alone, but this is some liberating shit ya'll. It's kind of like if instead of being a 12 or 13 year old boy seeing a SI Swimsuit edition or VS catalog, you had to wait until you were like 30 for it to be in the mainstream.] 7/3/2015 2:01:15 AM |

This is fascinating to me. I've know full grown women losing their shit over this and they can see this at ANYTIME at a real male strip club. Also without the sorry ass plot. I'm trying to think of it from a male's perspective. I don't know a male alive that would pick watching Showgirls ( good lord) over an female strip club over even porn.
My only guess is that these women want to go to a strip club but don't want to go to an actual male strip club bc of actual guilt or something. Idk

Ok someone brought up money. At Magic Mike you don't have throw out money for a man dancing on stage. lol. I would argue how movie prices are today you could probably shell out more money at the cinema than the club.

My gf thankfully is going today while I'm at work. I don't need to see Matthew or Tatum's ass for 2 hrs. 7/3/2015 1:55:51 PM |

channing tatum is hilarious and totally underrated.
I'm also interested to see steven soderbergh working as cinematographer when he's not juggling directing. 7/3/2015 2:38:10 PM |

I'm in love with TT10's post so hard.
^I would recommend it--it's just so much fun, and I'm not talking about the dancing parts. But keep in mind that it's different than the first. The darker aspects of the original are all gone. What's left is an everywoman's fever dream of how the world should be. There are a lot of things I could examine or discuss, but the Internet's already on top of it.
To be clear, this movie is awesome. 7/3/2015 3:59:46 PM |

No, definitely not! They very quickly wrap up a couple unresolved issues from the first one and then move in to a totally different tone. 7/3/2015 5:32:26 PM |

I'll also admit that TT10's post made my day (for about 10 minutes...then I went back to work). 7/3/2015 5:39:59 PM |
