Probably smoking weed. was never necessarily opposed to it, but none of my close friends ever smoked much. So I think I was like 22 the first time I smoked. seemed like a lot of people were smoking in high school and stuff but I just never got into it until later.

Although, idk, 22 isnt exactly waaay later.

got a computer for the first time the summer before starting school at NC State (summer 1998).

(other than an ancient texas instrument thing that hooked to a TV... this one or something similar... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_TI-99/4A - with NONE of the attachments!)

I was so computer illiterate that I actually DIALED UP using AOL from the damn dorm room before I knew i could just plug that magical Ethernet cord into the wall!

we got a computer in 1990. i only knew 2 other people who had one (my grandparents and the preacher). that was one kick-ass packard bell.

side note - the preacher gave us copies of games. HE WAS A PIRATE!

^well yes it was a pretty n00bish mistake, but i figured things out pretty quickly, and soon amassed a pre-napster mp3 collection to be reckoned with. i had a massive 8gb hard drive, and once i figured out downloading an mp3 wouldn't fill it up, it was on.

1998? I WAS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL.

I lost my pirated music collection in a tragic hard drive crash in 2005. I had like 30,000 songs.

Now pretty much all of my music is legal. I do miss my collection of foreign language versions of pop songs, though.
