I just saw an article on Tea Party Nation that offered a different perspective on this shooting, and told me WHAT THE LIBERAL MEDIA DOESN'T WANT ME TO KNOW:

The world is full of psychotic psychopaths.

Trophy hunter kills Cecil the lion’s eldest son

Quote :
"A trophy hunter has killed the eldest son of Cecil the lion, who was found skinned and beheaded in 2015 according to wardens operating in Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park.

Six-year-old Xanda the lion was apparently outside the park when he was shot by professional hunter Richard Cooke, who is accused of killing the cub’s brother in 2015.

Cooke returned Xanda’s electronic collar back to researchers after making the kill.

Andrew Loveridge, from the Department of Zoology at Oxford University, told The Daily Telegraph: “I fitted it last October. It was monitored almost daily and we were aware that Xanda and his pride were spending a lot of time out of the park in the last six months, but there is not much we can do about that.”

Speaking about Cooke, he said he was “one of the ‘good’ guys.”

He explained: “He is ethical and he returned the collar and communicated what had happened. His hunt was legal and Xanda was over 6 years old so it is all within the stipulated regulations.”

The death of Xanda comes barely two years after the death of his father Cecil, who was killed by American dentist-cum-trophy hunter, Walter Palmer. Palmer bribed wildlife guides $55,000 to allow him to kill the lion with a crossbow.

Cecil’s killing sparked such widespread outrage that Palmer was forced to abandon his dental practice.

Responding to the news of Xanda’s death, the Lions of Hwange National Park wrote on Facebook: “Today we heard that a few days ago, Xanda, the son of Cecil the lion has been shot on a trophy hunt by Zimbabwe PH Richard Cooke… Cooke also killed Xanda’s brother in 2015, he was only about four years old then. Xanda is still a young father at 6.2 years old and has several young cubs… We can’t believe that now, two years since Cecil was killed, that his oldest Cub Xanda has met the same fate.”

The message concluded: “When will the lions of Hwange National Park be left to live out their years as wild born free lions should...?”"

Not until humans become extinct, because humans are the most destructive organism to ever infect the planet.
