I think the article is so confusing to people cause there aren't that many people who presently hate Vietnam.

We're pretty much all on the same page that it was a terrible disaster, and the people in charge fucking sucked for allowing it to go on as long as it did.

And, in my lifetime, I've never heard anyone genuinely blame the "gooks" for what happened to our young men over there.
