This is why I quit journalism after 2.5 years. The story just wasn't worth it to me. I was the "spot-news magnet" in Rocky Mount, and that was enough for me. Respect to these people for going the distance, but I certainly hate the cost.

maybe you should wake the fuck up and realize that there is a large portion of this country that is sick and tired of people getting murdered by people with guns.

how about you come up with an equation for how long you have to wait before demanding the country do something about an issue that just lead to two more senseless deaths. variables could include race and sex of victim, race and sex of shooter, count of victims, type of weapon used. go crazy with it.

Are any of you not decent human beings? I'd think that after any tragedy, a political agenda should not be talked about minutes after the tragedy happens, perhaps wait at least a day or so.

Kind of like SC Gov Nikki Haley did a few mornings after the Charleston shooting when a reporter asked her about gun control. She responded with " I wont talk about that right now, we need time to heal first". I thought it was incredibly classy of her.

Maybe I'm the only one that thinks a political agenda should *not* be the first thing on peoples minds after a tragedy. Who knows, perhaps I'm in the minority on that front.
