This year sucks! Halloween is on a Saturday, but NC State has a home football game vs Clemson. Lucky for me my friend is having here party a week or two early since she will be on a cruise during Halloween.

^^Halloween being on a Saturday kind of sucks actually. The people I tailgate with always host a pumpkin carving party the weekend before Halloween, so a Monday Halloween works great. Maybe they'll do it the night before this year. I hope someone does something this year!

I went into Party City tonight just because I had to go into Michael's to get some poster board. WOW! They had 2 cops working security inside the store and lines about 20 people long at the back waiting to get costumes. The checkout line was just as bad. I'm glad I didn't need anything last minute.

Had one trick-or-treater last night. About 13-14 y/o, no costume, backpack for the candy, and a running car waiting on him. I answered the door wearing a gas mask and the kid jumped backwards off the stoop and started to run away. He cautiously turned around and came back when he saw I had candy tho.

Had quite a bit less trick or treaters this year. I blame this "Trunk or Treat" BS that local churches have been doing lately. Did have one Kung Fury costume which was cool. Also had a group of teenagers, prob about 13-14 -- one of them didn't even have a costume on. I told him that he would get candy if he came back with a costume on.

Also about half of the kids had their parents driving them. Literally they were driving 30 ft between houses. wtf.

I dressed up this year for the first time in at least 8 years as a result of deciding last minute to go to a party (usually I do something else on Halloween). I just pulled the cop-out Clark Kent costume and got to wear my favorite suit. And because the party was ill-prepared with drinking glasses, I ended up drinking straight out of a 750ml of 2-year aged Pumking for a while.
