I like the first one better. It looks more like a pirate costume, as opposed to the second which looks like the pirate's wench.

I feel like you could reuse that 2nd one for an oktoberfest or another halloween or something. the first one seems like pirate only. so I'd go with the second one just based on that.

for an extra nerdy hot take, Steampunk is a stupid name, it's not "punk" at all, it's just a stolen affectation from the Cyberpunk genre even though the two are barely related.

It's actually part of a pirate "starter" set...a build-your-own, if you will....but I think it can serve so many better purposes than that...

I have always been very self conscious and never the type to wear costumes for parties....I'm usually "that person" in jeans and a sweater or something...

however...I'm at a pretty good place right now and feel like I may as well flaunt it while I still can...because the time is quickly approaching when that shit ain't happening any more

I've had one tired old costume that I drag out every time I have to wear one for something...I just wanted something new....and I've been wanting the pirate costume for 10 years or more....I think there is even a thread about on here somewhere...haha
