Peacock had been arrested late on the night of Sept. 17 at the corner of South West and West Morgan streets for not keeping a court date on an earlier charge of being intoxicated and disorderly. He has three court dates in November and December on various charges, including littering and having an open container of alcohol on public property. Peacock was held without bail at the Wake County Detention Center and scheduled for a first court appearance on the murder charge Wednesday."

lol the ugly monkey. that bar was actually pretty cool back in 2009-2010. i think the last time i went there i was the only white person in the whole establishment.

I went once a few weeks after it opened. It was hyped as this crazy party club with cage dancers and girls dancing on the bars, etc.

We were there about 20 minutes and the place looked like it was built by a highschool kid with a home depot gift card. The "cages" were a bunch of cheap wooden dowels painted grey, one shitty pool table and some second hand neon signs.

They had the music turned up so loud you couldn't hear the actual music, it was nothing but bass and blown speakers. I think they were counting on people being so disoriented once they got in that they couldn't find the exits and were forced to order shitty house drinks.

Ugly Monkey was cool for a brief period but I think it was a bit earlier than 2009-2010. Used to have sorority/frat parties there and otherwise be littered with hot girls. Then ghetto dudes started creeping and selling coke in the bathrooms, etc. and management didn't contain it.

Basically, when the owners of the Goat, Bison, etc. still had it, it was pretty cool but when they sold it, it went down the shitter with the quickenss.
