FSU is pretty pedestrian this year. Looking at their record, the Louisville game is the only one that stands out as a solid performance. Not saying we'll win, but this is probably as good a chance to beat FSU as we'll have any time soon, might as well pull this shit out.

if we still had our top 2 RBs, I'd pick us to win with conviction. I'll still pick us to win because we're due a WTF win, but I'm not drinking the Doeren kool aid. he still hasn't proven shit, beating BC and Wake are things we are supposed to do. if he wins this one, maybe I'll tone down the hate...a little. Don't forget, we're still 5-16 in the ACC. even if we win out (LOL), thats a .333 win percentage.

Upsets happen because of incosnistency. Either the lower ranked team has not performed to their potential and does for 1 game or the "overrated" team lays an egg and underperforms for one game. Its often a combination of both.

Past FSU teams often underperformed (especailly under bowden) so they got "upset" every year as they were inevitably exposed for not being as good on the field as they were on paper.
Past NCSU teams often underperformed against other teams and then came to play in big games so they got a lot of "upsets" against teams that were ranked high. All of those "upsets" occurred because we had an NFL QB or a bunch of NFL players on defense finally perform the way they should.

DD NCSU teams perform at a consistent level so I don't expect to see that same signature ncstate giant killer profile we've had in the past. Either we will get the talent to beat these teams and we will "beat" them or we will rely on them to "lose" to us. The days of playing up or down to our competition are pretty much over.

No we didn't even cover that game and even if you account for the Dayes injury, we lost because of defense so that shouldn't have made much of a difference either.

FSU may very well crush us...but they're hardly as good as Clemson was last year. And that Clemson game came right after the FSU game...so having a let down is somewhat understandable. I certainly don't expect to beat FSU this week...but I'm not sure we're gonna get blown out either. FSU is pretty good, but they're not great.

i mean, there's a reason FSU is 10 points favorites. they are better and should win. but fsu isn't that good this year. we have a better shot to beat them on the road this year than we have in the last few trips there (maybe since the 09 season or so). but, yeah, we'll probably still lose.

We have a good shot as we did in a long time to upset FSU in Tallahassee. The last couple of trips we got smashed there, in 2013 the game was literally over in the first quarter, and I believe we got shout out in 2011. FSU is for the most part running a conservative offense this year but think they're still good enough to light up our defense. With that being said I think we have a good chance of pulling off an upset as Jacoby is from Flordia and will want to put on a show.

We were 35 point dogs @ FSU in 2013 (lost by 32), 18.5 point dogs in 2011 (lost by 34) & 8.5 point dogs in 2009 (lost by 3)
