yeah our FT shooting has been shit. been a fairly ugly game so far. in part, due to the constant whistles. what's ridiculous is that come conference play and especially the NCAAT the "freedom of movement" rules won't be enforced anymore. just like last year.

I can see why we lost and will lose other games this season after finally watching a game.

We cannot play defense, other than Cat. The rest of the team is horrible and lazy.

We just have to put up as many points as possible and hope for a good shooting night with this team. If its a poor shooting night like against WnM and without being able to rely on Henderson...we will lose.

That's this season in a nutshell.

Oh...and as always with any Gottfried team...free throws.

The good thing about this season is that expectations can't seriously be that high for Gott, especially with our lead guard going down in the first game (which btw, will he possibly be back by conference play?).

yeah he gets a total free pass no matter how bad this season gets. We need to be back in the tournament conversation next year, and we need to return our players and make some serious noise at some point by the 2018 tournament.

^I think we can make the tournament this season. We hit some big shots down the stretch, but I do see us losing a lot of close games if we don't shoot better from the line. I'm guessing we lose a close one to Duke, or UNC after shooting something like 9 for 20 from the line.

Apparently Cat has a sore wrist. If those pull-up jumpers start going in at a better clip, he's going to average 20+ easy...and definitely makes us more dangerous on offense.

if he can knock the pull up jumpers down, that's huge. but the pull up ~17-18 footers are kinda bad shots. drive the hole or step back and try the 3.

Pretty impressive that we could win by such a large margin while shooting so bad at free throws and seems like our overall shooting wasn't that great either.

^^Mehh, I like his pull-up jumper. He shouldn't settle for it, but it forces the defense to guard him instead of sagging off. Plus with the high-post offense, there aren't always a ton of driving lanes.

He can get a decent look with that shot anytime he wants. That's gonna be big when the shotclock is getting low.
