Ah its good being on top, not used to it, being an NC state/Panthers fan since I was a wee laddie. Except for the super bowl run and a couple NFC championship appearances.

All of you NC State/Eagles,Redskins(whhy??), or loser Yankee jets, bills, other sucky team fans, must have worst sports life ever, sucks to be you little dicks and pricks.

Never been a big NFL fan in general, and I'm not going crazy over the Panthers, bur I certainly appreciate the attention it's bringing.

I have one question though, not following the Panthers closely on a regular basis. Why is there so much hate for Cam? I mean, he dances around after a TD and some people complain? Don't they all do that? Dude seems pretty good with the kids too, seems like he's always doing something with them or for them.

part of it dates back to his college days. there was investigation (nothing ever turned up one way or the other) about him/his family being paid to play at Auburn. i think that rubbed people the wrong way. he can also come off as cocky...and he's openly admitted that as a rookie in the league he was immature. maybe some of it has to with his style of play as well. he's not a traditional pocket passer. as a mobile QB i think some kept waiting for him to fail as a passing QB in the NFL and be exposed. almost as if his whole game was a "gimmick" or something stupid like that.

and to be honest, i think some of it has to do with race. obviously not everybody that dislikes newton is a racist, but i do think there's a not insignificant amount of those kinds of newton-haters. brady flips out on a ref and cusses up a storm on the sideline and he's just a fiery competitor. newton does an extended TD dance and he's a selfish, disrespectful thug. i mean...clearly there's a double standard.

sure, but i think people have latched onto that as a way to justify their dislike of Cam and justify calling him a thug or whatever. he's never even been in an ounce of trouble since joining the league. he's apparently been a very strong, positive influence with his charity work. but some computer incident from, like, 7-8 years ago somehow defines him? that, to me, is people attempting to justify their pre-existing dislike of Cam.

also...^ yeah...it's shocking that a 10-0 team (coming off two straight playoff appearances) would have fans come out of the woodwork.

^^ Clearly he doesn't mean FOR the last 20 years because we have been horribly managed for most of that even when we were good.

But right now the panthers could be considered a model franchise showing how to get out of cap hell without sacrificing play on the field, drafting and developing well, and getting great contribution from cheap free agents.

Besides the dipshit owner the Charlotte fanbase after moving back was one of the factors that turned me off from being a fan. Along with the behavior quoted above, its a very wine and cheese crowd, then when the team is having an off year all the transplants fall back to wearing their Steelers/Giants/Pats/Redskins gear

In fact, fuck Charlotte. Not a cool city. Its basically what Chapel Hill would be if it could snap its fingers and become a metropolis. Bunch of douches in suits pretending to be bankers and shit, ugh. (though there is this great taco place my friend showed me, I was feeling a little crazy, so i ordered the scallop tacos, and WTF, they were the best god damn tacos I've ever had. The kicker is....I don't even like scallops typically!!. They also had the Jalapeno Beer, it was surprisingly good as well. I highly recommend this taco place. )

If the Panthers were in Raleigh, I'd chub so hard I would bust right through my PJ pants and hit my significant other in the back of the butt so hard, they'd wake up with a bruise right there on the left butt cheek.
