Mobile check deposits are great unless you have like 30 then you have to take 60 pictures and if you're driving by an ATM it's easier.

bank of america has had that feature in their ATMs for a while. You can also put in up to 50 bills and it'll count them all right there.

^^^ I think it's 40 bills. And not all ATMs are created equal. I've had some BofA ATMs that suck my bills up like the favorite frat whore...and some that will only take bills fresh off the press. I also only discovered the multiple checks feature about a year ago (it's been on there for a while). Felt like a dummy for feeding check after check for so long. With that being said, I've never had to deposit more than four or five checks at a time.

This. The ATM does not give your checks all this scrutiny like they are from a scam, it just eats them and processes them quickly.

When the economy was bad (2008-2009) I would bring in a commission check and they would stare at it and try to find a reason to put a hold on it. I always had to explain...yes I know I am broke, yes I now have a check for $5000, yes its valid, and yes I need that shit posted right now.

It's 50 on all the ones they just installed at SECU. My business bank's machine also takes 50; I think they're all the same Diebold machines for the most part.

If the price of dealing with a not horrible bank is outdated ATM machines I'll gladly pay it. I don't generally get physical checks anymore, and if I do it's mostly for small amounts that I don't need immediately anyway.
