Im really looking forward to my baseball auction this year. If you're a spreadsheet statistics nerd, you're gonna love this league. Its a 10 team 5x5 rotisserie auction league.

There is a $260 salary cap... all players purchased in auction, as well as all free agents picked up mid-season, can be signed to a contract of up to 5 years in length. We get to keep 15 keepers.

I was a big seller last year- dished on a lot of my old stars... and managed to snag the NL and AL mvps (Harper and Donaldson), as well as Jose Fernandez.

Going for gold this year. Gonna need to spend some money on speed and pitching, but I have power for days:

Gotta fill out 10 total Pitching spots, 6 reserves, and the rest of the holes you see on offense.

Thanks bdmazur for setting it up. I'm in. Lets add some better stat cats instead of the standard stuff. I hate leagues that value BA and Steals so heavily.

I'm already in 2 fantasy baseball leagues this year. Good luck all. My draft for the keeper league I was in last year is this Saturday. We are instituting a salary cap all season for $360. All players we keep from last year go up $3 each.

Alright, I'll switch it to rotisserie. I've just always been a fan of accumulating points based on stats (like in fantasy football). Saying that having the most saves is as important as having the most wins has always seemed strange to me.

I can add or take away any category so let me know if you have strong opinions.

Might as well make this shit fun if we are going Roto style. Need some obscure cats too. I say add OPS (not obscure, but should be standard in any league now), Runs Created, hit by pitch, grounded into double play, and strikeouts under hitting.

Add holds, homeruns allowed, complete games, blown saves, and quality starts under pitching.

Then create fielding and have errors, assists, outfield assists, and put outs.

All the obscure stuff makes the draft more interesting and keeps the league more competitive if someone has a bad draft or has a couple key guys go down.

I tried to convince some of my tww friends to play, but they said they "are too busy", even though they spend every moment out of class either wackin in their new "masturbation chair" (what they call their office chair), OR, playing the Division.

I'd do it but it's too much commitment, swapping out utility players on the daily. I'd probably forget about it after a month. Fantasy football is good for lazy folks like myself who only want to do stuff once a week, generally speaking.
